Achievement Diary: Varrock

Starting point: Speak to either Rat Burgiss (From the What Lies Below Quest), Reldo in the Varrock Library, or Vannaka in the Edgeville Dungeon.

Requirements:

Quests: Rune Mysteries.
Skills: 15 Mining, 13 Agility, 8 Crafting, at least 10 Construction, 10 Mining, and 20 Fishing.
Items: Bones, Pickaxe, Normal log, 1150 gp, Hatchet, Soft clay, at least 5k for changing houses, Earth tiara/talisman, Cup of tea, Fly fishing rod, around 5 feathers, and a Slash-style weapon.
Rewards: A skill lamp giving 1k XP to any skill. Varrock Armour 1, which when worn allows entry to the Edgeville furnace along with the chance of smelting 2 bars at once up to and including steel (only at Edgeville furnace), the chance of mining two ores at once up to and including coal and better prices for most shops in Varrock (not including the sawmill).

Tasks:

Task Number	Command	What To Do
1	Have Thessalia show you what outfits you can wear	Bring 1k to Thessalia in the clothes shop south west of Varrock Square, no need to pay for anything here, just right click Thessalia and select "Change Clothes", then exit screen.
2	Have Aubury teleport you to the essence mine	Right-Click on Aubury and select "Teleport" to go to the mines. Aubury is in the Rune Shop just below the East Bank in Varrock.
3	Mine some iron ore in the Mining spot, south-east of Varrock	Get any pickaxe and mine the iron located at the mines South East of Varrock.
4	Make a plank at the sawmill	Bring 100 gp and a log to the sawmill North East of Varrock.
5	Enter the second level of the Stronghold of Security	Go down to the second level of the Stronghold of Security via the portal on the first floor and the ladder going down at the treasure room. View the Account Security guide to complete it.
6	Jump over the fence, south of Varrock	The fence is between Lumbridge and Varrock, close to Rat Burgiss, simply use the agility shortcut and you're done.
7	Chop down a dying tree in the Lumber Yard	Bring a hatchet and go to the Lumber Yard which is north east of Varrock. Jump over the ledge and cut the tree near the front.
8	Buy a copy of the Varrock Herald	Buy from Benny in Varrock square for 50 gp.
9	Give a stray dog a bone	Find a stray dog around Varrock (there is also one close to Getrudes House west of Varrock) and use a bone on him. Any bones work.
10	Make a bowl on the pottery wheel then fire it in the pottery oven, all in the Barbarian Village	Bring Soft clay to Barbarian Village and go to the South House. Use the soft clay on the pottery wheel and choose bowl (8 crafting required), then take the unfired bowl to the oven next to it and use it on the oven.
11	Enter Edgeville Dungeon using the entrance to the south of Edgeville	Enter the Dungeon from the entrance just south of the bank, the entrance should be next to a coffin.
12	Move your player-owned house portal to a different location using the Varrock estate agent's	Take at least 5k (Depending on your construction level and where your house is currently) to the Estate Agents house and ask him to move your house, then select a new place and he should move it.
13	Speak to Haig Halen after obtaining at least 50 kudos	He is the curator of the Varrock Museum, he is found on the ground floor near the west entrance to the Museum. See the Varrock Museum guide if you don't know how to get or have any Kudos.
14	Enter the Earth Altar using an earth tiara or talisman	Equip an earth tiara or bring an earth talisman to the earth alter found below the lumber yard.
15	Have Elsie tell you a story	Go to the second floor of the church, just north of the Museum, and bring her a cup of tea and she will tell you a story.
16	Mine some limestone near Paterdomus, the temple to the east of Varrock	Bring a Pickaxe and mine some limestone near the Rag and Bone man just east of the entrance to Morytania.
17	Catch a trout in the river to the east of Barbarian Village	Bring a fly fishing rod and some feathers and find the fishing spot close to the bridge to Varrock in Barbarian Village.
18	Venture through the cobwebbed corridor in Varrock Sewers	Bring any weapon with a slash attack type (daggers, longswords, whip, or knife) and travel through the Varrock sewers to the cobwebs before the Red spiders spawns and cut the cobweb with your weapon, simply step forward and the task should be complete.
19	Find the highest point in Varrock	Go to either the third floor of the church or the third floor in the Varrock palace.

After completing these tasks, talk to Rat Burgiss at the crossroads between Lumbridge and Varrock for your reward.

Requirements:

Quests: At least 32 quest points, Digsite Quest, A Soul's Bane, Dragon Slayer, Enlightened Journey, Garden of Tranquility, Gertrudes Cat, Stronghold of Security Mini-game, What Lies Below, The Grand Tree, Must of completed half of A Fairy Tale Part II - Cure a Queen to have access to the Fairy Rings, and Rat catchers.
Skills: 40 Thieving, 21 Agility, and 25 Magic.
Items: Limpwurt root, red spider eggs, 105gp, rat pole, Ring of Charos(a), Chaos Talisman/Tiara, Cat/Kitten, Digsite Pendant, 1 law rune, 3 air rune, 1 fire rune, empty tiara, earth talisman, 20 mahogany logs, 30k cash, Dramen Staff/Lunar Staff, 1 Willow log if you've travelled to Varrock before using the hot air balloon or 10 willow logs if you haven't.
Rewards: A skill lamp giving 5k XP to any skill. Varrock Armour 2 (replaces Varrock Armour 1), which when worn gives all the features of Varrock Armour 1 along with the chance of smelting 2 bars at once up to and including mithril (only at Edgeville furnace), the chance of mining two ores at once up to and including mithril and a chance of smelting at a slightly faster rate.

20	Have the apothecary make you a strength potion	He needs a limpwurt root, red spider eggs, and 5gp to make.
21	Enter the Champions' Guild	You need 32 quest points to enter. Located South West of Varrock.
22	Take the Dagon-Hai shortcut to chaos portal	Go down the tunnel under the statue, head to the end and enter the portal. You must have a chaos talisman or chaos tiara and completed the quest What Lies Below to use.
23	Get a full complement of rats on Rat pole	You need to be past a certain point in the Rat catchers quest to obtain a pole. Requires 6 rats to make a completed pole. If you have 6 rats on the pole already, release one and catch another.
24	Escape from spider lair with red spider eggs	Go down in Varrock dungeon and bring back red spider eggs. Getting the eggs from the Edgeville wilderness dungeon does NOT count.
25	Use the Spirit Tree north of Varrock	The spirit tree is located north of Varrock Castle. Requires the completion of Tree Gnome Village to use.
26	Perform the 4 emotes from Stronghold of Security	Idea, Stamp, Flap and Slap head. You must have completed Stronghold of Security mini-game to use all emotions.
27	Select a color for a new kitten	Speak to Gertrude at house west of Varrock. You need 100gp and must wear a Ring of Charos(a) to select a color. If you have lost your Ring of Charos, you will find Dr Fenkenstrain at his castle in Canifis (or at Harmony Island if you have completed The Great Brain Robbery).
28	Use the shortcut under the west wall of Varrock Palace	Needs level 21 agility. It's on the north-west side of the castle grounds.
29	Enter the 'A Soul's Bane' rift	Must have begun A Soul's Bane quest. Climb down the rope to complete.
30	Teleport to the Dig Site using a Dig Site pendant	Teleport using a Dig Site pendant made out of a Ruby necklace. You learn how to make pendant when you get a ruby necklace from the archaeological part of Varrock museum.
31	Craft an earth tiara at the earth altar	Take a empty tiara and an earth talisman to the earth altar. Use the tiara on the altar and the talisman will combine with the tiara.
32	Pickpocket a guard in the Varrock Palace courtyard	Right click a guard and select pickpocket. 40 Thieving required.
33	Use the Teleport to Varrock spell	Level 25 magic. You need 1 law, 3 airs, and 1 fire rune.
34	Get a slayer task from Vannaka	He is in Edgeville dungeon, and you must have 40 combat to get a task from him. You cannot have another task in progress.
35	Buy 20 mahogany planks from the sawmill operator in one transaction	You need level 50 woodcutting to cut mahogany trees in Tai Bwo Wannai (100 trading sticks needed), or on Ape Atoll. Take 20 mahogany logs to sawmill operator with 30k.
36	Pick a fruit from the White Tree	If you have completed The Garden Of Tranquility Quest, simply pick a fruit from the white tree in the centre of the Varrock Castle Garden.
37	Use the hot air balloon to travel from Varrock to somewhere else	Use the Hot Air balloon to fly somewhere else. Visit The Transportation Special Report for more information.
38	Get a cat training medal from Gertrude	Your Kitten/Cat needs to have caught at least 100 rats to get this. Once you have caught 100 rats, talk to Getrude for your Cat Training Medal. If you have already recieved a Cat Training Medal in the past, you must drop your Medal And talk to Getrude to receive another one.
39	Dial to the fairy ring west of Varrock	The Fairy Ring code is DKR. For more information visit The Transportation Special Report.
40	Browse through Oziach's Armour Shop	Oziachs shop is found in the North West Part of Edgeville, close to the Wilderness Ditch. Right-Click him and select trade. You must have completed Dragon Slayer to trade with Oziach.

After completing the Medium tasks, talk to Reldo in the Varrock Castle Library for your reward.

Skills: 70 Farming (67 with Garden pie), 51 Agility, 73 Smithing, 32 Cooking, 66 Crafting, 40 Construction, 25 Magic, and 57 Woodcutting.
Items: Poison Ivy Seed, 2 dashing kebbit furs, at least 15k to redecorate your house, 800gp, Adamantite bar, wild pie or ingredients for one, hatchet, 33 air runes or an Air staff, 1 fire rune, 1 law rune, 1 soft clay,battlestaff, uncharged orb, one cosmic, and a skull sceptre with one or more charges.
Rewards: A skill lamp giving 10k XP to any skill. Varrock Armour 3 (replaces Varrock armour 2), which when worn gives both the benefits of Varrock Armour 1 and Varrock Armour 2 along with the chance of smelting 2 bars at once up to and including adamantite (only at Edgeville furnace), the chance of mining two ores at once up to and including adamantite, access to the bank in the Cooking Guild, and allows you to enter the cooking guild without a chef hat.

41	Pick poison ivy from your bush Farming patch in Varrock	Plant a poison Ivy bush in the patch near the Champion's guild, then pick a berry when it is fully grown. Requires 70 Farming, or 67 with a Garden pie, to plant.
42	Use the pipe shortcut in Varrock Sewers, near the moss giants	Enter Edgeville dungeon via entrance south of Edgeville bank, then use the obstacle pipe located near Vannaka.
43	Trade furs with the Fancy Dress Seller for a spottier cape	Take 2 Dashing Kebbit furs and 800 gp to the Fancy Dress Seller south/east of the eastern bank and he'll trade you a spottier cape. The furs can be acquired by catching Dashing Kebbits in the Falconry area (hunter lvl 69 required) or purchased from players.
44	Smith an Adamantite medium helm on the south-east anvil in Varrock, next to Aubury's Rune Shop	Take one adamantite bar and a hammer to the anvil, and use the bar on the anvil. Click Adamantite medium helm on the menu that will pop up. 73 Smithing required.
45	Speak to Orlando Smith when you have achieved 153 kudos	You must do EVERYTHING possible in the museum. See the Varrock Museum guide if you don't know how to get or have any Kudos.
46	Talk to Romily Weaklax and give him a wild pie	Wild pies require 85 cooking (or 80 and chef's delight) and certain ingredients to make, but they are tradeable. When you acquire your pie, take it to Romily who is located in the Cooks' Guild.
47	Craft an air battlestaff	Buy a battlestaff from Zaff for about 7k coins, then take an uncharged orb to the air obelisk (see map of Edgeville dungeon for route) and use it on the obelisk. You'll need three cosmics and 30 air runes, and you can use a staff. The obelisk is in the wilderness, so be careful!
48	Give your player-owned house a fancy stone or tropical wood finish at the Varrock estate agent's	You'll need to pay a fair amount of GP to the estate agent to have him redecorate your house. 40 Construction and 15k required for Tropical wood and 50 Construction and 25k for Fancy stone.
49	Make a Varrock teleport tablet on a mahogany lectern	You'll need one soft clay, 25 magic, 1 law rune, 3 air runes, and a fire rune. Use the soft clay on a mahogany lectern and click the "V" to make your tablet.
50	Obtain a new set of Family Crest gauntlets from Dimintheis	Destroy your gauntlets and talk to Dimenthies to get them back.
51	Make a waka canoe near Edgeville	Go over the bridge northeast of the bank, then go south. Chop down the canoe station, and click on the chopped log. Requires 57 Woodcutting to make.
52	Use the Home Teleport spell in the Ancient Magicks spellbook to teleport to Edgeville	Turn on Ancient Magicks via the desert treasure pyramid altar. Then, use home teleport.
53	Use the skull sceptre to teleport to Barbarian Village	Invoke the Skull sceptre to teleport. See the Stronghold of Security Mini-game guide for more information.

Reward: After completing the hard tasks, Speak To Vannaka in the Edgeville Dungeon for your reward.
